Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

1. Introduction

Neighcrew ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform to connect hospitality venues with verified workers.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

  • For Venue Managers: Name, email address, phone number, business name, Australian Business Number (ABN), business address
  • For Workers: Name, email address, phone number, skills, location preferences, RSA certification status, external work experience (venue types, roles, pace levels), learning interests and preferences (roles interested in, venue types of interest, availability for practical sessions)
  • Payment Information: Credit/debit card details are processed securely through Stripe as a third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. All payment data is handled by Stripe in compliance with PCI DSS standards.

2.2 Location Data

We collect GPS coordinates when workers clock in and out of shifts to verify attendance at the venue location. For some venues and shifts, we also use venue-provided QR codes for clock-in and clock-out. When a worker scans a QR code, we record that scan event (linked to the shift and time) as an additional attendance verification signal. QR codes do not contain sensitive personal information; they are signed tokens used only to confirm that a worker was physically present at the venue when clocking in or out.

2.3 Usage Data

We collect information about how you use our platform, including shift history, practical session attendance, structured post-shift feedback, experience log events (including session type, attendance verification method, and supervision context), reliability signals (such as attendance, show-up rate, no-shows, and late-cancellation patterns), verification state progression, rebooking history, ratings, and other platform interactions. For hosted sessions (sessions that workers pay to attend), we also process booking and payment data and venue payout information via Stripe Connect. This data is used to build your trust profile and help venues make informed decisions.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain our platform services
  • To process payments and facilitate transactions
  • To verify worker identity and location during shifts
  • To match venues with suitable workers
  • To build and display structured work history, experience logs, and reliability metrics (for example, attendance and rebook counts) to you and, where relevant, to venues you work with
  • To send notifications about shifts, applications, and payments
  • To improve our services and user experience
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With trusted third parties like Stripe (payment processing) and database hosting services who assist in operating our platform
  • Between Users: Venue managers can see worker profiles (name, skills, ratings). Workers can see venue information (name, address) for shifts they apply to
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/SSL)
  • Secure authentication and authorization
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • PCI DSS compliant payment processing through Stripe

  • Contacting us through our contact form with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"
  • Using the account deletion feature in your account settings (when available)
  • Including your account email address and a clear request for data deletion

We will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days of receiving your request, except where we are required to retain information for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes. Some information (such as anonymized transaction records) may be retained for legal compliance.

In some cases, we may ask workers or venues to send dispute evidence (for example, photos or screenshots) to help resolve disagreements about shifts or payments. These files are sent to our support team by email and are not stored in our application databases or permanent file storage. They are used only for dispute resolution and are handled in line with our email provider's retention policies.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, analyze usage, and support authentication. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
